Revision as of 14:10, 14 August 2016

These Mercenary builds help to optimize your gem gains, get over walls, and unlock certain trophies, until Research (R16) kicks in.

An obvious prerequisite for every build on this page is that you must be able to buy all the Mercenaries upgrades (at least 1 No (1E30) gems). Some builds may have additional requirements or work best at specific stages of Reincarnation. Be wary of using a build in a different stage than it was designed for.

Note: Because the game is constantly evolving, some builds may become, or have already become, obsolete. Please help us keep this page up-to-date by leaving feedback and suggesting new builds here.

Meta

Templates

With version 2 comes the ability to load and save mercenary builds. The Faction Upgrades and Spells are saved in templates, so you still need to manually select the alignment and bloodline.

Templates can be found at the bottom of each build table (if available).

Expressions & Terminologies

  • The numbers next to the faction upgrades, such as in Dwarf (3,1): Battlehammers, indicates the tier and position of the faction upgrade.
  • Bloodline matches: Such as in: Fairy (3 Matches), see Bloodstream.
  • A lot of mana: generally implies "at least enough mana to cast all the spells simultaneously".
  • High/Low excavations is relative: At R2, 'high' may mean ~500 excavations, whereas at R18 it may refer to ~1000 excavations.
  • Silver, Gold & Bronze: refers to primary, secondary and Efficient auto-casting.

Short Length Builds

Short and Rush builds ranging from 10 minutes to max 1-2 hours.

Lightning Forge

(v1.3.35.0 - Alt name: Storm Fairy 2.0)
Variants:

  • Diamond Forge
  • Moonshine

Short Rush Build of 10min to 1h. One of the strongest builds until it slows down around Uvg-Dvg (E66-E69) gems. Can be left to run, but is more suited for an active play style.

  • Characteristics: Boosts Blacksmith's production to maximize Fairy Chanting.
  • Range: R3-R18+
  • Requirement: Spell upgrades (+Recommended: Assistant upgrades)
  • Alignment: Neutral
Lightning Forge Upgrades
Alignment: Neutral

Bloodline: Fairy (3 Matches) - ignore if you don't have bloodline

Spells:

  • Lightning Forge: Fairy Chanting, Lightning Strike
For R3+ Original main build, uses LS for faction coins so you will not need to excavate. Speed will greatly vary on your luck with LS.
  • Diamond Forge: Fairy Chanting, Diamond Pickaxe
For R3-18, lower range & lower income but doesn't rely on LS RNG.
  • Moonshine: Fairy Chanting, Moon Blessing
For R18+, requires "Star Blessing" Tier3 Elven challenge.
Requires 2 full casting to get full effect then abdicate or cast again

Tier 1 Upgrades:

  • Fairy (1,3): Starmetal Alloys
    • [If the Realm Weather Forecast shows a lack of Blacksmiths for a long time, swap for Fairy (1,2) or (1,1), depending on whether Inns or Farms shows up more, giving precedence to Inns.]
  • Goblin (1,1): Strong Currency
  • Druid (1,1): Druidic Vocabulary
  • Dwarf (1,3): Mining Prodigies
    • [If higher use Faceless (1,3): Deep Memory]
    • [If <450 excavations (less for Moonshine): Titan (1,3): Oversized Legends]
    • [If using Moonshine, consider Titan (1,1): Colossal Forge]

Tier 2 Upgrades:

  • Druid (2,1): Earthly Bond
  • Fairy (2,1): Fairy Workers
  • Faceless (2,1): Gold Synthesis
    • [If higher: Faceless (2, 3): Overgrowth]
    • [Alt R15+: Druid (2,2): Bardic Knowledge source]
  • Titan (2,3): Cyclopean Strength

Tier 3 Upgrades:

  • Dwarf (3,1): Battlehammers
  • Druid (3,3): Building Jungle
  • Fairy (3,3): Swarm of Fairies
    • [If using Moonshine, consider Dwarf (3,2): Magic Resistance]
  • Titan (3,3): Titan Obelisk
    • [If higher: Faceless (3, 3): Hive Mind]

Harlequin Bonus: 216%

Lightning Forge Instructions:

Below instructions are optional. You can also simply build and leave it running, it will just take more time. Keep in mind that your income, depending on LS strikes, will be very unstable.

  • Early game, play until you get a Blacksmith Lightning Strike. This is when you get your big gem boost, other strikes barely count. (See the effect of full casting in this video here .)
    • To gain time: As soon as you have bought LS, use the Realm Weather Service** to check your LS forecast. Cast Lightning Strikes alone and get ready, build all you can, for when it will hit Blacksmith. (**Note: This tool can be temporarily broken after updates.)
    • For lower gem ranges: Using the Realm Weather Service and getting to Blacksmiths fast: Do not build Monastery, Labyrinth, and Deep Mine initially. When you see that the next Blacksmith is too far away build one of these. Check RWS. If BS is still too far away build the next and so on.
  • When Lightning Strike hits Blacksmith, drop all your mana on a full combo-spell and cast as many tax collections as you can while all the other spells are casting.
    • You can get more TCs by casting spells manually: First cast all the non-FC-TC spells, wait 10 seconds for some mana to build-up, then cast FC+TCs. This can make a noticeable difference.
    • You can automate this somewhat if you have Contingency Autocasting by setting the threshold to 100% of your mana and having all of your casts lined up with Priority Autocasting.
    • You can automate this much better with Planned Autocasting where Tax Collector is gold and the other spells are silver.
  • Abdicate.
  • In later games, repeat the above process until gem growth slows substantially, feeding your gold back into buying buildings to improve the return of the combos.
    • If Realm Weather Service shows the next LS is targeting the Blacksmith (or Farm/Inn), you can cast all other spells to prepare and optimize the income for the LS cast.
  • If you have Spiritual Surge, do not use it until you can afford (6000 mana) to cast all 6 spells in one combo, as it will take away the ability to fully combo all other spells and reduce income.

Moonshine Instructions & Notes: (Credit goes to why_amihere and artcrow for improvement.)

* Fairy Chanting on gold everything else on silver no Tax Collection.

  • Cast Fairy Chanting twice during the 20 seconds spell combo.
  • Switch to Elf Research from around 1 Dvg (1E69) gems. Players below R20, go for at least 100 Dvg (1E71) - 500 Dvg (5E71) Gems.
  • This is an Elven Luck build, so don’t use Tax Collections.
  • Clicking manually will not bring any benefits (when using Elven Luck).
  • Oversized Legends Titan (1,3) and Professional Assassins Drow (3,2) are not used because increasing assistants or click income are less effective with Star Blessing.
  • Elven Luck is originally an Elven Faction Upgrade. But in this build, Elven Luck comes from the Star Blessing challenge which adds 5% chance to trigger Elven luck to Moon Blessing's clicks.

Note:

Lighting Forge was first posted by Magmardooon (source) and has been updated as the game was updated. Please be wary of the many opinions and versions in the forum, as some have lead to misunderstandings and miss corrections.

Unused Upgrades:
Elves (1,3): Sylvan Treasure Frills: Worth x17, which is less than any other bonus taken at this tier, even after accounting for Harlequin (if this is taken with Bardic Knowledge, its total worth after Harlequin is x29.376, which is still worse than the other upgrades taken).
Druid (2,2): Bardic Knowledge: The Harlequin bonus from the Faceless upgrade makes the Gold Synthesis / Overgrowth better.
Drow (3,2): Professional Assassins: Starmetal Alloys causes Building Jungle to exceed Professional Assassins in practice, even after Harlequin; swapping Gold Synthesis for Bardic Knowledge and then Building Jungle for Professional Assassins also causes a net loss.

Spells: Fairy Chanting, Brainwave

Tier 1 Upgrades:

  • Fairy (1,3): Starmetal Alloys
  • Goblin (1,1): Strong Currency
  • Druid (1,1): Druidic Vocabulary
  • Dwarf (1,3): Mining Prodigies - Optional (for low excavations (<300) try Titan (1,1) - Colossal Forge)

  • Titan (2,3): Cyclopean Strength
  • Faceless (2,3): Overgrowth - Optional

  • Fairy (3,3): Swarm of Fairies
  • Drow (3,2): Professional Assassins [Other options adjusted to your game maybe better]

Harlequin bonus: 512%

Instructions:

  • Start by using sufficient excavations to buy all heritages, pay for mercenary upgrades, and buy a reasonable amount of exchanges. (For the first mercenary run or two of a reincarnation, skip the more expensive heritages.)
  • Take Brainwave first, and cast it immediately. Once you have filled out buildings and purchased all available buildings, let your mana bar fill.
  • Cast Call to Arms, wait ten seconds, and then cast Fairy Chanting and Holy Light.
  • While all four spells are running, buy as many buildings and upgrades as you can while casting any tax collections you have available.
  • Depending on your current gem progress, you can abdicate immediately or repeat the casting combo once or twice more while the brainwave is still active. Abdicate once your first brainwave is finished, and repeat.

Innkeeper

Powerful rush build up to 1 Tvg (1E72) gems. Very strong short-term idle build. Updated to v2.0.11. July 10, 2016 by artcrow (source).

Note: v2.0 currently doesn't have a buy one upgrade at a time option. To avoid buying the highest farm/inn upgrade buy the building to a total below the unlocking upgrade (e.g. 19xx buildings when nearing the 2000 upgrade), then buy the upgrade stack, then buy more buildings leaving the highest upgrade for that building unpurchased.

  • Range: R25- and R25+ (For more details on when to use this see the source post.)
    • R25-: Build targets Farms.
    • R25+: Build targets Inns and Deep Mines, using Primal Balance to get 2 targets.
  • Alignment: Neutral
Innkeeper Upgrades
Alignment: Neutral

Bloodline: Titan, Undead (Bloodstream matches: 3, 0)

Spells: Grand Balance, Fairy Chanting

Tier 1 Upgrades:

  • Goblin (1,1): Strong Currency
  • Titan (1,3): Oversized Legends
  • Druid (1,1): Druidic Vocabulary
  • Dwarf (1,3): Mining Prodigies [If low excavations: Elf (1,3): Sylvan Treasure Frills]

Tier 2 Upgrades:

  • Titan (2,3): Cyclopean Strength
  • Druid (2,2): Bardic Knowledge
  • Druid (2,1): Earthly Bond
  • Faceless (2,1): Gold Synthesis

Tier 3 Upgrades:

  • Fairy (3,3): Swarm of Fairies
    • Undeadline: [Drow (3,2): Professional Assassins] or [Druid (3,1) Mabinogion]
  • Titan (3,3): Titan Obelisk
  • Druid (3,3): Building Jungle
  • Dwarf (3,1): Battlehammers

Harlequin bonus: 216%

Other Bloodlines:

  • Undead: At R19, this bloodline has a stronger effect than Titan, but with 0 bloodstream matches, its bloodstream bonus is highly dependent on your time spent as Undead. If time spent as Undead is very low, wait to use Undeadline until the R25+ version. It can be used earlier with a few days spent as Undead.

Instructions R25-:

  • Don't buy highest available Farm upgrade (keeping Stone Pillars at a higher spot in their upgrade series). Buy Farms to less than 2000 (1900-1999) and buy all upgrades you need to buy the Farm upgrades before buying the 2000th Farm. After buying Farms past 2000 don’t buy the 2000 Farms upgrade. You’ll want the 2000 Deep Mines and stone pillars upgrades which should be easily affordable.
  • You want to avoid buying Farms too far beyond Deep Mines. If you have 2140 farms and 2100 Deep Mines Grand Balance will affect the correct target Farms. If you have 2180 farms and 2100 Deep Mines Grand Balance may target Deep Mines which severely reduces income.
  • Farm income is very similar to Deep Mines income. Keeping Farms at around the same price as Deep Mines should keep the Building Jungle bonus from overpowering Farms.

Instructions R25+

Requires: 2 targets for Grand Balance from Primal Balance, for this you need 100,000 total mana produced. (Running Tricaster or Mana-narama (~500 m/s) can do this in a couple minutes. The pre R25 version should be used if Grand Balance only has 1 target.

  • Build all buildings
  • Don't buy highest available Inn upgrade (keeping Alchemy Labs at a higher spot in their upgrade series)
  • Inn income is very similar to Stone Pillar income. Keeping Inns at around the same price as Stone Pillars should keep the Building Jungle bonus from overpowering Inns.

GB Targets:

  1. R25- One Grand Balance Target: Farms
  2. R25+ Two Grand Balance Targets: Inns and Deep Mines
  3. Three Targets: If you have 3 targets for some reason. Target: Farms, Inns, and Deep Mines. - Leave out highest available upgrade for Farms and Inns

Auto-casting:

  • Silver: Grand Balance, Spiritual Surge (R14+), Call to Arms, Gem Grinder, Fairy Chanting
  • Gold: Tax Collection
  • For lower gem totals with less max mana, leave Gem Grinder out of the casting combo.
  • When manually casting, wait 10 seconds before casting FCh to get more TCs than auto-casting.

Tricaster

Description: Rush build. As well as growing gems, this build targets Farms as a first target and, with Primal Balance (Druid challenge 4), Inns as a second target.

July 10 2016 updated to v2.0.11 by artcrow (source).

Variant: Alternate upgrades to get the second Grand Balance target (with Primal Balance). This will allow to switch to Innkeeper after and use it at full strength. (see source post.)

  • Alignment: Evil

Alignment: Evil

Bloodline R3-13 Titan

Spells: Grand Balance, Fairy Chanting

Tier 1 Upgrades

  • Goblin (1,1): Strong Currency
  • Titan (1,3): Oversized Legends
  • Druid (1,1): Druidic Vocabulary
  • Dwarf (1,3): Mining Prodigies

Tier 2 Upgrades

  • Elven (2,2): Elven Efficiency
  • Titan (2,3): Cyclopean Strength
  • Drow (2,2): Blood Sacrifices
  • Faceless (2,3): Overgrowth

Tier 3 Upgrades

  • Undead (3,1): Dead Fields
  • Demon (3,2): Burning Legion
  • Druid (3,3): Building Jungle
  • Dwarf (3,1): Battlehammers

Instructions:

  • Don’t cast Blood Frenzy; it doesn’t do anything.
  • Less than 1 Ocd (1e57) gems: Diabolical Evil trophy recommended. Don't buy 1500/1750 Farms upgrade without buying the corresponding 1500/1750 Orcish Arena and Slave Pens upgrades or Grand Balance will target the evil building that didn't get upgraded. Replace Elven (2,2) Elven Efficiency with Druid (2,3) Shapeshifting, possibly replace Faceless (2,3) Overgrowth with Undead (2,2) Corpse Supply.
  • More than 1 Ocd (1e57) gems: Once you can afford Villainous Affirmation, you can usually freely build all buildings and all upgrades.
  • This build is mainly meant for manual casting. It works okay with Planned Autocasting. If Planned Autocasting is unavailable it can autocast at 1900-2199 max mana by replacing Elven (2,2) Elven Efficiency with Angel (2,2) Angelic Wisdom. At 2200+ max mana it can autocast with the base build

Pyrastrike Plus

Medium length build, 11h to 18h run. 10h build-up time necessary. Stronger than regular Pyrastrike (now obsolete) after 10h, worse than Cialis (long build) after 18h (Pyrastrike used to be the best short-term build before the advent of Lightning Forge.)

Bloodline: Angel (0 Matches)

Spells: Lightning Strike, Diamond Pickaxe

Tier 1 Upgrades:

  • Goblin (1,1): Strong Currency

  • Elven (1,3): Sylvan Treasure Frills
  • Titan (1,3): Oversized Legends

Tier 2 Upgrades:

Tier 3 Upgrades:

  • Dwarf (3,1): Battlehammers
  • Druid (3,3): Building Jungle
  • Fairy (3,2): Rainbow Link
  • Drow (3,2): Professional Assassins

Harlequin Bonus: 729%

Instructions:

  • Autocast Lightning Strike for about an hour for faction coins, and boost certain upgrades (at contingency autocasting 100%).
  • Set Call To Arms on bronze autocast and never let the chain break. You wont need to turn the Lightning Strike off for this.
  • After a few hours, when you feel like your Angel bloodline has become powerful enough, wait for full mana and CtA to be cast, then use Lightning Strike. When it hits Pyramids, cast Gem Grinder + Diamond Pickaxe and as many Tax Collections you can, leaving enough mana (~400), to not break the CtA chain.

Notes:

  • Mana recovery is going to be slow after a full spell combos because 20 out of ~25 mps is going into the CtA chain. You need to recover about 6k mana with just the remaining 5mps and that’s going to take about 20 minutes.
  • After 10 hours, this build is going to be 5 times more powerful than the regular Pyrastrike, but it will also take 5 times longer to prepare each combo.
  • The building up process can be done during your sleep time: Let it build-up for 10 hours during the night, and start the production phase in the morning. Abdicate after a maximum of 8 hours of production phase.

Long Length Builds

Long Length Builds range from ~1 day to days.

It Grows Over Time! (IGOT)

Mana engine build. This build has a 32 hour minimum setup time. Excellent build to use after Lighting Forge. As of Version 1.5.42.6 you need about 1 Dvg (1E69)-5 Dvg (5E69) gems to reach R16 on a standard run.

Includes Variants: Longer and Longest run upgrades. These requires much longer setup times.

Instructions (Copied from IGOT for dummies by sonicman54, based on this postby artcrow)

Note: Buying more buildings/exchanges/upgrades should be done as you can afford them, there is no ‘idle’ requirement you need to worry about breaking.

  1. Buy all upgrades and spells above, then start autocasting Tax Collections until you reach about 135 assistants. It takes approximately 5 hours to get 135 assistants. (Using Battlehammers, ~17 hours, and if only using Holy Crusaders, the good merc upgrade, it takes 93 000 spell casts.)
  2. At 136 assistants, Fairy Chanting should be added into combo, before TC, in one of two ways.
    • With Efficient AC (Bronze): Set contingency at around 97% max mana [Optimal amount may need testing], this will allow for very little downtime on Fairy Chanting and little need for micromanagement, but may cause for slower growth in mana regen.
Bronze: 1) Fairy Chanting - Silver: 1)Tax Collection.
    • With Priority AC (Silver): Set contingency arrow at around 910 mana, or to where it will trigger around two seconds after FC times out. Regularly requires micromanagement every so often as your mana regen grows.
Set the spells to cast in this order: 1) Fairy Chanting: 2) Tax Collection.
  3. At 200 assistants, add in Combo Strike and lower the contingency arrow to 900. (for about another 18 hours until 270+ assistants)
    • With Priority AC (Silver): 1) Fairy Chanting: 2) Combo Strike: 3)Tax Collection
Alternatively, set: Bronze: 1) Fairy Chanting: 2) Combo Strike - Silver: 1) Tax Collection, and leave the contingency arrow wherever fits best.
  4. At 270+ assistants, depending which auto-casting tools you have, choose:
    • Priority AC (Silver): Set Contingency arrow to 0. Set the spells to cast in this order:
      1) Fairy Chanting, 2) Spiritual Surge, 3) Call to Arms, 4) Combo Strike, 5) Holy Light, 6) Tax Collection
    • Planned AC (Gold): Set the Contingency arrow to about 97% max mana, about one second before reaching max mana.
Silver: 1) Fairy Chanting, 2) Spiritual Surge, 3) Combo Strike, 4) Call to Arms
Gold: 1) Holy Light, 2) Tax Collection.
    • Efficient AC (Bronze): Set the Contingency arrow to about 97%, about one second before reaching max mana.
      Bronze; 1) Fairy Chanting
Silver: 1) Spiritual Surge, 2) Combo Strike, 3) Call to Arms.
Gold: 1) Holy Light, 2) Tax Collection.
This will ensure Fairy Chanting is active consistently, allowing for minimum downtime and provide the best mana generated over time ratio. -Tip by Ragbash (talk) 03:33, March 27, 2016 (UTC)

Variants:

  • Longer run: use Dwarf (3,1): Battlehammers in place of Fairy (3,3): Swarm of Fairies. Requires about 55-60 hours of setup time.
  • Longest run – never attempted: Swap skills as in Longer run variant. Also use Dwarf (3,2): Magic Resistance in place of Goblin (3,1): Goblin Central Bank. Requires unknown number of days setup. Maybe 5? Read this or original post.
Note:

Build title comes from the Bearded Assistants upgrade, “Increase the production of assistants based on how long their beard is (it grows over time!).”

Priapism

Medium/long term build (should be minimum of 12h building up Combo Strike to match dropping LS, expect total run length over 30-40h, including 4-12h of production phase (scry for double production every 4h), production phase can be left on autocast (big quality of life improvement compared to Cialis!)

At R15, to go from 1 Uvg (1E66) to 1 Dvg (1E69) coins, Lightning Forge is still faster, but requires closer management.

  • Range: R7+ Designed for reaching R15 and higher reincarnations.

Instructions:

  • Fairy Bloodline version: Very little difference to use below R14 and about 20% improvement above. Do a ton of Combo Strikes as a growth phase, then switch to autocasting (TC: gold, all the others: Silver). Alternatively, manually cast FC: wait 10s to cast FC, the mana built up during that time will give you 1 - 2 extra TCs per combo.
  • Drow Bloodline version: Do minimum 8 - 12h of only Combo Strikes on autocast, then break Drow Bloodline to set up combo casting on everything (TCs on planned) *No longer viable because this build does not work while offline.

Cialis

Long incremental build, requires its bloodline to function. Does not require excavations to start it, but does require highly involved production phase. (For people without autoclickers, spending a few hours in a Foreplay build will help the Ancient Clicking Arts bonus to get high enough.) The spell chain should not be broken.

Instructions:

  • Do a bunch of Lightning Strikes and start by getting the mana regeneration and production upgrades. (+40 m/s total mana regen is theoretically required before moving on, 38 m/s seems to work in practice due to lag between autocast spells).
  • Set Combo Strike to autocast with contingency turned off. Let it run for ages, maybe throwing in the occasional spell to use up excess mana, but avoid letting spell castings stop (!!!) or your Angel bloodline bonus will drop - Spamming Tax Collections is risky here.
  • Final production phase is just before abdicating, swap autocasting from Combo Strike to Call To Arms; Lightning Strike every time mana hits 100%, if you hit a Pyramid use Combo Strike, Gem Grinder and as many Tax Collections as you can without risking a break in the spell chain (!!!)
  • Repeat for about 10 Pyramid hits (depending on time played).

Notes: For this build which will require a 2-4 days buildup you will need something to add to the production during check-up periods (which will last probably a day or two, just leave the game on) so run Combo Strike. Your second spell would be Goblin's Greed, since it helps with getting faction coins early if you've bombed excavations on it or even if you just want extra for the faction coin related upgrades.

Instructions

Build up your buildings, upgrades, and exchanges as if you were playing other builds featuring the Drow bloodline and then sit back once you have all your production in place. This build has 3 phases which are explained below. As a general rule, the longer you spend in each phase, the better your recursion loop and offline multipliers becomes.

Phases:
  1. You'll be spending 24~48 hours in this phase ideally, just building up tax collection casts. Remember that you'll be getting two spells with every cast thanks to Goblin Central Bank. This builds your recursion loop and makes getting the critical assistants you need easier. Do NOT transition until you have the mana to either reasonably cast Combo Strikes at a decent rate (around 28 MPS minimum with 100 assistants, lower if you're more comfortable with it). Your production in this phase will be quite low and you will not see much progress except in MPS and assistant amounts. This is naturally part of the build, so do not be alarmed.
  2. After phase one, phase two is where you adjust your spell casting from Tax Collection to JUST Combo Strike. You'll spend probably another 24~48 hours in this phase. At this point, your production should increase slowly as you start adding to your Blade Dance percentage. You'll continue like this for a while until the Blade Dance percentage is at least 18K% if not more. Once that part is managed, you can decide when to jump into phase three.
  3. Congratulations, you've persisted for at least 2-4 days. This means you are now probably ready to go offline for a while and enjoy your 2 M (2.7E6)% ~ 3 M (3.7E6)%+ bonus to production that CONTINUES to grow over time. When you've adjusted your buildings where you needed to, since the likely temptation of sprucing up buildings one last time is there... leave the game. For demonstration purposes, when I went offline during phase two for about 10 minutes, I ended up going about two name changes of gem in 10 minutes with a decent multiplier on everything.

Warning: You'll have to charge up the bonus for drow bloodline but give it about the same length of time as your first two phases and you'll have a magnificent bonus. You'll have around 18.7 mana per second (MPS) to start with. At around 38.9 or so MPS, Combo Strike starts to go into a state where you have leftover mana but can't really spend it without interrupting the flow of Combo Strikes. I would recommend just waiting for excess mana to build up and cast a Goblin's Greed or two if it happens. This build benefits greatly from spare excavations but Goblin's Greed does the trick pretty well if you don't have any.

Special Builds

These builds are not meant to boost gem production, but to help get Trophies or for building-up bonuses. Bonus build-up runs will become more and more important as you progress.

Note: Unless spending a lot of time and effort, the 1B FC trophy seems to be the cap for mercenaries. For the 1T FC trophy, it is easier to using Research.

IGOT a Need for Trophies

A build that is capable of getting 300 mps, assistant and spell casting (30M mana in about 21h, and 50M mana for 28h). Was not designed for the 1B FC trophy, but can unintentionally get it.

  • Range: R7- R16
  • Alignment: Good

R3: This can be done starting at R3 with > 100 Dc (1E35) Gems. By time you complete Beard Carpet (3d 11h 20m) you will have also completed Exchange Master, Exchange Lord, Minedwarf, 100 Billion Faction Coins, Unlimited Mana, Efficient Autocasting, Fairy Choir, and Assistant Horde. It is recommended that you purchase the trophy rewards as they become available.

IGOT a Need for Trophies Upgrades
Alignment: Good**

Bloodline:

  • Druid (2 Matches) if also going for mana/spells cast.
  • Undead (0 Matches) if only going for assistants

Spells: Fairy Chanting, Diamond Pickaxe

Tier 1 Upgrades:

  • Angel (1,1): Holy Bells
  • Angel (1,3): Angel Feathers
  • Druid (1,2): Animal Companions
  • Dwarf (1,2): Expert Masonry

Tier 2 Upgrades:

  • Angel (2,2): Angelic Wisdom
    • [Consider Drow (2,1): Mana Addicts as it increases mana regen a lot]
  • Angel (2,3): Archangel Feathers
  • Druid (2,3): Shapeshifting
  • Faceless (2,2): Mitosis
    • [To get Beard Carpet: Dwarf (2,3): Bearded Assistants]

Tier 3 Upgrades:

  • Fairy (3,1): Kind Hearts
    • [Angel (3,2): Angelic Dominance if low gems and you already have Priority Autocasting]
  • Fairy (3,3): Swarm of Fairies
  • Goblin (3,1): Goblin Central Bank
  • Faceless (3,1): Magical Treasure

Harlequin bonus: 216%

Instructions:

Buy the upgrades and buildings when they come in. (Once in a while, you can do a few combo-casts for more buildings/income.)

Bloodlines optimize this build to get a certain kind of trophy first.

  • The Druid bloodline increases mana regeneration faster to get the 300 mana/s trophy and autocasts first.
  • The Undead Bloodline summons Assistants faster to get the 500 assistants trophy first. (May not be optimal for 1000/2000 assistants.)
Autocasting:

You can adapt your setup depending on which trophies you are aiming, and on which autocasting tools you have. Build relies on assistants (assistants are increased by the amount of spell casts, spell casts are increased by mana, mana is increased by assistants...)

  • Tax Collection helps get spell casts and assistants.
  • Fairy Chanting helps get mana (Always use FC so it feeds mana to the other spells)
  • Diamond Pickaxe can help get Faction Coins (You can use it to buy the heritages. Click reward gets better with more excavations and assistants.)
Build-up, Assistants & Spell cast trophies: Build-up to get assistants.

If you have Priority autocasting or better, put Fairy Chanting on priority 1 and Tax Collection on 2. If no decent autocasting, just leave TC on repeat and buy the upgrades when they come in.

You’ll need to leave it for quite a while, to acquire Planned or Efficient Autocasting (~21 hours for 30M, ~28 hours for 50M mana)

Notes:

** Below about R10 or so (not actually sure where the cutoff is), your best option for 300 assistants is to combine it with the unlocking of Planned Autocasting (30M mana produced) and the 200k spells cast trophies in an IGOT-style Good build. If you want the 500 assistants trophy, this build is your best bet under almost any circumstances below R22, possibly even higher.

*** Angelic Dominance (longer spells) is actually more helpful than the old Feathers upgrade (20% increase to mana regen) for increasing your spells cast and gaining more assistants, it was close for total mana. As a result, it is MUCH better than Magical Gates (Angel 3,1).

Instructions:

Leave Contingency Arrow on Bar at 100%. Then, set Contingency Autocasting on Fairy Chanting and Diamond Pickaxe, and Priority Autocasting on Tax Collection.

Notes:

  1. This build gets FC faster by using the Mercenary Upgrade Trade Lords. It also increases mana regen over time which, in addition to the Undead Bloodline that increases your mana regen with the Druid (2,3): Shapeshifting upgrade, gives you about 60 mana regen without Fairy Chanting, allowing to use both spells, instead of one, with Tax Collections, without losing much time.
  2. The Drow (2,3): Blackmail allows you to buy more FC Exchanges at a lower price. If you want to get the 100B FC Trophy, exchange it for Angel (2,3): Archangel Feathers (It's a little improvement, but it's more useful if you only want to get FC and not exchanges.
  3. If your max mana and mana regeneration is high enough, a more efficient spell configuration can be achieved by setting Contingency Arrow at around 11 seconds of mana production. This way Fairy Chanting is almost constantly active, while Diamond Pickaxe is only cast half of the time

  • Druid (3,3): Building Jungle
  • Fairy (3,2): Rainbow Link

Instructions:

Set up, build, autocast Moon Blessing for ages, until you have enough clicks for Cialis. Before Abdicating, do a couple of Hellfire Blast/Moon Blessing/Call to Arms combos (if R12+ you can also get some overlap time with Blood Frenzy), spend the gold to maximise building numbers before abdicating to maximise Overgrowth and Faceless Heritage bonus next game.

Notes:
  1. This was designed purely to get enough clicks to do Cialis, with the bonus of getting as many buildings as possible to improve the Overgrowth and Faceless Heritage bonuses on the Cialis run. For a quick max building count run, swap the Bloodline to Goblin and do a couple of combo casts.
  2. Doing the Neutral equivalent of this build allows a slightly higher building count if you get a Pyramid hit from Lightning Strike when you do your building phase. However, the difference that would make to Overgrowth is tiny and you might have to wait for ages to hit the Pyramid, which would suck.
  3. This also works really well for the 2k of each building runs around the end of R9/10 (it can be done at R7 with 25 Qid gems which is a little overshoot, a run for the good trophies took less than 30 minutes) if you use Goblin bloodline and ditch the Fairy upgrades in T1 for production (Dwarf (1,3): Mining Prodigies, Goblin (1,1): Strong Currency, Dwarf (1,1): Dwarven Ale/Titan (1,3): Oversized Legends if going for 2k HoLs). Non-Evil can’t use Drow (2,2): or Hellfire Blast (usually), so Neutral should use Druid (2,1): Earthly Bond to allow also casting Gem Grinder with Lightning Strike as the second spell (swapping Overgrowth for Gold Synthesis is also a small improvement). Good is more complicated–they should swap both spells for Brainwave and Dwarven Pickaxe, on T1 always use Titan (1,3): Oversized Legends instead of Dwarf (1,1): Dwarven Ale, on T2 swap Drow (2,2): for Angel (2,2): Angelic Wisdom, then on T3 Elf (3,2): Elven Luck should swap out for Drow (3,2): Professional Assassins, and Fairy (3,2): Rainbow Link goes out for Fairy (3,3): Swarm of Fairies.
  4. Note 1 contradicts the setup mentioned for a Good Foreplay run in Note 3. I just thought that was worth noting.

Instructions:

Cast Fairy Chanting + Night Time as a combo. Add CtA if you can, if not cast TCs instead. Angelic Dominance increases spell cast time (so you get more mana, through Magical Treasure, per Fairy Chanting cast), Angelic Wisdom lowers the cost of spells.

Posting New Builds

Many builds on this page are the results of a collaborative effort where each upgrade has been calculated, compared and discussed. Hence, they are generally the best combinations available, and new builds will need to be created as new perks appear.

  • If you wish to suggest a build, try posting it first to the forum to get feedback, suggestions and possibly ameliorations.
  • If you are copying a build, please do not forget to add the credits and source links.
  • When adding new builds, do not forget to also add the "Run lengths", and more specially the "Range". If none, players can not relate to them and in consequence: will not try them.
  • If you're not used to using wiki editors, there is a wikia sandbox for test editing.
