- In-game description:
"Rubies are a rare resource which allows you to increase all aspects of your production. Accumulating them will unlock new upgrades and trophies, providing both a permanent passive bonus and the ability to spend them to purchase new perks. Rubies persist through Abdications and Reincarnations."
Along with Coins, Faction Coins, and Gems, Rubies[1] are another kind of currency. They allow you to buy special items that cannot be bought otherwise.
All collected Rubies and purchased Ruby Upgrades persist through soft resets.
Getting & Spending Rubies[]
Rubies can be Excavated, received during Events, or purchased in the Shop.
Rubies allow one to buy:
- Ruby Upgrades (see below)
- Premium Upgrades in the Shop
- Event Resources (such as snowballs during the Christmas event)
- Excavation Resets: The counter is reset, but you will not find rubies again. Cost: 1 Ruby.
- Ruby Resets Reset all the ruby powers to 0 and get all your rubies back. Cost: 1 Ruby.
You can theoretically have any number of free rubies as desired. But via excavation, they become progressively harder to find. You will find one at the 50, 150, 300, 500, 750, 1050, 1400, 1800, 2250, 2750, 3300, 3900, 4550, 5250, 6000, 6800, 7650, 8550, 9500, 10500, 11550, 12650, 13800, 15000, 16250, 17550, 18900, etc. excavations, but only the first time you reach these numbers (per Reincarnation). The formula for the number of excavations required for each ruby is: where is the ruby number to be gained.
Ruby Power[]
Ruby Power is an upgrade that increases the production of all buildings by 100%. This value increases by tier[2] based on the all-time amounts of rubies collected ("Rubies Gained (All-Time)" in the stats.)
Unlocking Ruby Power also unlocks Ruby Upgrades.
- Unlock Requirement: Find 1 Ruby.
- Cost: 1 Coin
The following table shows: Ruby Tiers, the amount of rubies necessary to unlock the tiers, the percentage gained, and the resulting Ruby Power.
